Saint Césaire Church has recovered its stained-glass windows

7 October 2026 | Actuality, Our projects

Last December, we announced the start of the restoration work on the stained-glass windows at Saint Césaire Church in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne.

A project that the Jacques Martel Foundation was keen to support as part of its mission to promote local heritage.

As well as the stained-glass windows, the church has benefited from extensive restoration work throughout the year. The roof structure, plasterwork, decorative features, paintings, stained-glass windows… and, currently, the floor.

The church, built between 1714 and 1724, had already undergone several phases of restoration, notably in 1930. The current restoration is by far the most comprehensive, and we look forward to rediscovering it in all its original splendour.

We already know that the little angels from the oven have flown away, making way for the stars.

We invite you to discover the first images of the interior via the video produced by Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne Town Hall, as well as the work of Adeline Rincent, Master Glassmaker at the Atelier Terre de Verre in Castillon, directly on her Instagram account.

She offers a valuable insight into her role as a ‘conservator-restorer’, which, beyond simply repairing, seeks above all to preserve the authenticity of the piece.

As for the opening, we’re hoping it will take place at Christmas ✨.
