For the 2nd year running, the Jacques Martel Foundation has supported the Opéra de Nice by helping to finance the participatory opera SindBad, directed by Benoit Benichou and conducted by composer Howard Moody.
This opera is part of the Opéra de Nice’s youth programme and aims to open up opera to as many people as possible, especially children. The Jacques Martel Foundation shares this ambition with the Opéra de Nice.
That’s why we were delighted to be able to invite children to see it last weekend, by offering tickets to two associations whose mission is to ensure the well-being and development of children: Association LEA and Lei Pitchouns di San Cezari.
The staging was magical and, as last year, families were able to meet artists after the performance. It was a lovely moment of joy and sharing.
On Friday, two classes from the primary schools in Saint Cézaire sur Siagne were also invited to attend the General.
The Jacques Martel Foundation is very proud to have made these events possible, and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to the Opéra de Nice for its hospitality and kindness.
