As part of its missions to « Help children with illness and their families” and “Healthy and sustainable food” the Jacques Martel Foundation, alongside the Wildlife Care Madagascar association, is financing a multi-faceted project with a tangible impact on the ground.
Among the actions already undertaken:
- 🌱 Participation in the purchase of mango trees for a permaculture project
- 🪥 Acquisition of 200 oral hygiene kits for children
- 💊 Establishment of a bush pharmacy
- 🏥 Contribution to the reconstruction of a health centre
The 1st phase is already a reality: plants and seeds have been selected and a nursery has been set up; the call for tenders for dental kits has been launched and a partner school has been identified; plans for the dispensary and a study of materials are underway.
👉 And we are already talking about impact: more than 1,000 residents will benefit from the bush pharmacy and 200 children will receive a dental kit.
The next phase of the project will require on-site monitoring to coordinate, implement and support the local populations.
This is a multifaceted project with a promising future, perfectly in line with the philosophy of the Jacques Martel Foundation: ‘protecting and passing on the future’.
