On 27 September, volunteers from Vaincre la Mucoviscidose in Villeneuve-Loubet once again took part in the Virades de l’Espoir, a charity event which the Jacques Martel Foundation has been delighted to support for the past three years.
An event to breathe new energy into research
Held throughout France, the Virades de l’Espoir bring together participants, volunteers and donors every year with a shared goal: to fight Mucoviscidosis.
Through activities, entertainment and fundraising events, they help raise public awareness of this genetic disease, whilst raising funds to support research, improve patients’ quality of life and provide support for families.
Being active in our local area
Supporting initiatives that foster solidarity in our local area is a key aspect of the Jacques Martel Foundation’s commitment. That is why we have chosen to renew, for the third year running, our support for the Virades de l’Espoir in Villeneuve-Loubet.
This event illustrates the power of local mobilisation and what collective commitment can achieve in serving a cause.
Our first online fundraising campaign – a fantastic response from donors!
This year’s event also marked a new development for the Fund: the launch of an online fundraising campaign, directly on the charity’s platform.
With over €1,400 raised – out of a target of €1,500 – our donors have really answered the call! This support is a sign of their generosity and trust, and encourages us to continue with this sort of initiative, which allows everyone, in their own way, to contribute to a cause close to their hearts.
Every donation counts
Making a donation is more than just providing financial support. It means giving charities the means to take action, to move their projects forward and to support those in need.
Whatever the amount, every donation contributes to this collective effort, and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to the entire Virades de l’Espoir team in Villeneuve-Loubet for their energy and commitment, as well as to the donors who have helped to keep this wonderful spirit of solidarity alive.
