A Weekend alongside sick children and their families!

3 June 2025 | Actuality, Our actions

This weekend, everyone was out in force: children, parents, whales and dolphins, friends and partners of the Adrien association and, above all, smiles!

Smiles from young and old alike.

Smiles to celebrate the success of the Adrien Association, which celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday. Since May 2005, the association has been working alongside sick children to bring them joy and comfort.

This anniversary was an opportunity for the Jacques Martel Foundation to renew its commitment to the association, and to present its Chairman, René Molinès, with a cheque to help finance another work of the association: the Maison Adrien. We wrote about it in this article: A visit to the Maison Adrien

Smiles as we marvel together at the beauty of a nature that transcends us and brings us all together. The Jacques Martel Foundation was pleased to take part in a boat trip from Sanary sur Mer to take around fifty children to see dolphins and whales.

The children were patient, and their patience was rewarded with an encounter with two fin whales and dozens of blue and white dolphins, a typical Mediterranean species, as the outing leader explained.

This was a Bulle d’Oxygène outing offered by the LEA Association to its member families, and which the Jacques Martel Foundation was delighted to support financially.

These two events are part of a central mission of the Jacques Martel Foundation: to support sick children and their families.

Over and above the mission itself, these two high points, although very different, were part of the same desire to stand by sick children and their families, to support them in their fight and help them win, because children are the present and the future of the world. We believe in them; let’s support them!
